1. Working principle of mixed flow pump
Due to the shape of the impeller of the mixed flow pump being between the centrifugal pump impeller and the axial flow pump impeller, the working principle of the mixed flow pump includes both centrifugal force and lifting force. With the combined effect of the two, water flows out of the impeller at a certain angle with the shaft, and is lifted up through the volute chamber and pipeline.
2. General characteristics of mixed flow pumps
(1) Compared with centrifugal pumps, mixed flow pumps have lower head and larger flow rate, while axial flow pumps have higher head and lower flow rate. Suitable for drainage and irrigation in plain and lake areas.
(2) Water is sucked in and out of a mixed flow pump at a certain angle to the impeller shaft along its flow direction, hence it is also known as a diagonal flow pump.
