1. Classification by usage:
Industrial water pump: Water pump used in the industrial field, commonly including centrifugal pump, mixed flow pump, axial flow pump, etc.
Civil water pump: Water pump used in the civil field, commonly including self priming pump, pipeline pump, fire pump, etc.
Agricultural water pump: Water pump used in the agricultural field, commonly including submersible pump, diesel pump, solar pump, etc.
2. Classification based on working principles:
Eccentric vane pump: uses the action of an eccentric shaft to suck liquid into the pump, and then discharges the liquid through centrifugal force.
Centrifugal pump: uses centrifugal force to suck in liquid from the center, and then discharges the liquid through rotary motion.
Axial flow pump: uses axial thrust to suck in liquid from the inlet, and then discharges the liquid through axial thrust.
Mixed flow pump: Combining the characteristics of centrifugal pump and axial flow pump, it not only has the high lift capacity of centrifugal pump, but also has the large flow characteristics of axial flow pump.
Self priming pump: With self priming ability, it can suck liquid into the pump when the suction pipe cannot be used.
Submersible pump: A pump that can be placed in a liquid for operation, usually used to extract well water or sewage.
Vehicle mounted pump: installed on cars or tractors, used for agricultural irrigation or fire rescue, etc.
3. Classification by Drive Method:
Electric water pump: A water pump that uses electricity as the driving source, usually used in situations where stable operation is required.
Diesel engine water pump: A water pump that uses a diesel engine as the driving source, usually used in outdoor or temporary situations.
Manual water pump: A water pump that uses manpower as the driving source, usually used in emergency situations or situations where there is no power supply.
